MAC Lipstick Collection with swatches

Hey guys! Just wanted to showcase the MAC lipsticks I have in my collection so that those who are interested in certain colours can have an idea of what they look like. I have 17 in total (15 regular and 2 of the mineralize rich). I have a favourite of finishes: matte, satin, cremesheen, amplified and a lustre. Mac also carries frost and glaze finishes neither of which I am not a fan.

Mac Velvet Teddy dupe?

While doing swatches for the two previous blog posts I noticed that one of the L.A. Color Luxury Creme Lip Color in Fling, looked an awful lot like Mac's Velvet Teddy, which I happened to have in my collection. 

I think they are very similar in colour, however Fling is a creme finish while Velvet Teddy is a matte. I say its a good afford alternative as the L.A. Girls cost between $2.40 to $4 compared to the $15 for a MAC lipstick. The creme finish is a good alternate for those are not a fan of the matte finish but love the colour and vice versa.

MAC Stroke of Midnight: Viva Glamorous Bag

The local MAC store in Kingston recently got in stock the Stroke of Midnight holiday collections which I was glad about, but unfortunately my shallow pockets could only afford one set of these (which happens to be the cheapest). Seeing that I was in the mood to purchase a Viva Glam lipstick and have been eyeing Viva Glam I for some time I decided to go for this holiday Glam bag set. The set includes the Viva Glam I lipstick (a burgundy matte red) and matching lipglass along with a limited edition Viva Glamorous bag in black satin with glossy red and gold detailing. All the funds from this or any Viva Glam purchase goes towards the MAC AIDS Fund which assists in helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
